VR CAVE
What is VR CAVE?
A VR CAVE is an empty cube-shaped room with screens on each wall, floor and ceiling, often illuminated by projection to create an immersive environment. 3D CAVE users often use stereoscopic 3D glasses, interaction gloves, trackable wearables, and various tracking gear to increase realism, interactivity and immersion.
CAVE is short for Cave Automatic Virtual Environment.
How Does VR CAVE Work?
Thanks to stereoscopic glasses, the user sees 3D graphics and images floating and floating in the air. Thanks to the trackers and wearable targets used, they can move around the objects they see, zoom in and out, and do everything they actually do on the digital image.
Projector systems with very high resolutions are used to provide the illusion of reality.
By tracking the movements of the users using sensors, the image is constantly corrected according to the user’s perspective and a real world perception is formed.
VR CAVE Application Areas
CAVE Technology is currently widely used in the following sectors for many different purposes and research;
Architecture, Engineering and Construction
Automotive
Academy
Aerospace
Defense
Medicine and Pharmaceuticals
Why is VR CAVE Technology So Important?
As VR CAVE technology became cheaper and more widespread, commercial and human applications started to become quite exciting.
Today, in addition to the fact that CAVE simulations and CAVE VR systems are already used in drug development and predicting many diseases and saving many lives, their use in planning complex operations provides companies with enormous financial gains in research, development and design processes.
The most exciting part of VR CAVE systems is that the application areas are truly unlimited.
